Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Hi all, landed back from Pamps on Sunday morning. Stayed for a week at the Pamporovo Hotel, had a great time. Snow wasn't brilliant for me, as I'm not an experienced skiier and icy patches freak me out, however my Husband and Daughter had a ball and were happy with the amount of snow. Hotel pretty much the same as it was when we stayed there two years ago and the people are still very friendly. Hotel has a new spa from our last visit, which do an array of treatments and are so muh cheaper than here in the UK, highly recommended. The only change which we experienced this time was that we were taken to Ski Depot 1 on Sunday to collect our equipment and to be honest on everbody's first day when all equipment is collected, manic isn't the word! There are so many people queing, however every other day it's okay. Last time we went to Ski Depot 2 which in comparison was better, on Sunday after we had collected our equipment, we found that the 3 man chair lift was shut due to trees falling, so we got a taxi over to Studenetz and it was much quieter.
Prices still rediculously cheap and would definatelygo back for a third time, hoping that there would be more snow, however this year appears to be a bit of a freak season, though reading all the weather reports/web cams it looks like this week will be fantastic. One thing to point out though for families going out, if you arrive at the Pamporovo Hotel late at night/earlyhours of the morning, if your children start to surf the TV channels in the rooms, please take to remote from them as there is a hard core porn channel which is on!
