Hi all, got back from Pamporovo early on Sunday morning and even with the conditions as they were, our small party of two had a great time.
We managed to board every day, although there were times when it was sensible to take it easy. Some of the ice in the mornings was very trecherous.

We stayed in the mourgavets this year and it was like a palace compared to the Bor last year. The food was always good and plenty of it. It was fun trying to understand the keyboard player in the restaurant at night though.
We found the majority of people in the resort to be fun and friendly (anyone who was in Pamporovo last week will know what I mean I am sure). We have had some real fun and noticed that wearing a football shirt will instantly start a conversation with someone (or a local will want to buy it off you).
It has been a great week and Pamporovo did not really feel that much different to last year. Obviously the runs were very different and crowded but everyone has to ski some where.
I did notice one huge and I mean immense improvement......plovdiv airport. Last year we were standing outside for an hour then inside for an hour with about 1,000 other people before even checking in. This year we got off the bus, walked inside, checked in and were sat in the departure lounge within about 5 minutes. Such a change from last year, I was gob smacked.
There are rumours of more snow to come, but after being ontop of the mountain on Friday boarding topless and not being cold, I cannot see it, it is too warm.
All in all, great holiday, great people and most of all happy memories. I would definately recommend Pamporovo.....
sorry to disapoint......I am male.
Have got the video's on my phone to prove it too, not that I am male, that I did topless boarding....oh crumbs, I will shut up.
Good lord, I missed the topless stuff! I did see a guy skiing in a kilt though...
I got back from Pamps late Saturday after my first ever boarding trip, also in a small party of two. As a learner, falling on that icy snow repeatedly was NOT fun, but didn't spoil the overall experience. We had two great instructors (unlike some skiers we spoke to who were less than happy with theirs) and we managed to progress beyond the useless muppet stage.

We stayed in hotel Pamporovo and it wasn't as bad overall as some say it is, but the room was grubby and dark and the food in the evening was truly dire so we ate out most nights. We met some nice people though, and I wouldn't rule out going back there if they sort the food out.
