Just thought we'd post too!! We arrived back last night from a week away and we had a fantastic week away. The gondola was fine when we got our lazy selves up and out for 8am. Didn't wait for more than 20 mins then. Got a lift up for 2 days whilst it was still half term and busy ! Just thought we'd post too!! We arrived back last night from a week away and we had a fantastic week away. The gondola was fine when we got our lazy selves up and out for 8am. Didn't wait for more than 20 mins then. Got a lift up for 2 days whilst it was still half term and busy ! We hired our skis from across the gondola at pirinski(they have a website and were great skis and very reasonably priced) We got transfers via earlybird too and that worked out for a stressfree journey for us(the potholes are awful at the moment!). We also had lessons 2hrs per day for us as a family from a lovely guy through the ski hire.
Weather was lovely most of the days apart from one when it rained which was a little bit weird for us, and we got pretty wet, but hey, who cares!!
Bulgarian food is lovely, the kids ate so many different things, favourite shepherd salad, lots of kebab type things, and hot cheese with honey and walnuts!! scrummy!!
The whole holiday was just fantastic and the runs never particularly crowded apart from sunday when all the Greeks came to play!!! We too would go again as it was nice to go somewhere away from France and not spend a fortune on lunches etc!! big pizza slices up the mountains are lovely for a quick pit stop and £3 or less!!
Hi guys...
Absolute pleasure dealing with you, and so glad you had a great time... The ski shop we recommended was `Pirin Snow' right opposite the gondola, we have had more very pleased guests since your departure which makes our job definately worthwhile
Bansko on the up ??? we think so
