Back from Bansko

Came back from Bansko on Friday.
Skiing was Ok on a few slopes, best conditions from the four seater down to gondola top station: Red, blue and black slopes.Hard artifical snow, icy....
Upper slopes were bad, stoes, rocks, wood,...But lifts were open.
Also possible to ski down the ski road to Bansko on artifical snow, hard and icy, but Ok. Didn`t have to wait long on the lifts.
Prices:
High prices on the mountain, beer up to 2,5 Euros! Pizza about 5 Euros.

In Bansko everything is much cheaper:
A beer from 0,5 - 1 Euro. Food in most retaurants in the city very good, for example: lamb on BBQ + Potatoes + Salad + 3 Beers about 8,5 Euros. Pork meet + Potatoes + 3 Beers about 5 Euros.
Had a private room for 10 Euros/person/night, clean, sat Tv, friendly owner!
Wanna come back, if there is more snow.

re: Back from Bansko

Thanks for info. Am going to Bansko on Tuesday but have not yet booked a ski package ( boots/ski/lift pass/ski school). Do you know if this is easy to do when over there or should I try to pre-book here.
Cheers
ET

Hi, hmm don`t know. Had my own ski equipment with we.
But I heard it's cheaper to book it here. But there are a lot rentals everywhere.

very easy to rent equipment and you can get ski passes from the gondla station, you can pay by visa as well for lift passes so quiet good, round near the gondla loads of shops offering equipment hire so you should have no problem. some do ask for a passport or driving license as proff of ID but only one per group so just be aware nothing worse than having to trek back to your appartment to get it. have a good one.
