Just got back from Bansko. Had a fantastic holiday but all I can say is thank god for snow canons. I had never given them much thought until this holiday and although a lot of the top is very rocky they did try to keep the lower pistes in the best conditions possible.

Hi all
Just got back from Bansko. Had a fantastic holiday but all I can say is thank god for snow canons. I had never given them much thought until this holiday and although a lot of the top is very rocky they did try to keep the lower pistes in the best conditions possible.
We have been for the past three years and have to say this will be my last. Dont get me wrong it is a fab place and great lift system, hotels etc but it looks like a great big building site. I am intrigued to know where all these people are going to ski when they have completed the endless hotels and apartments. It is already very overcrowded and they are ruining the once charm of Bansko.
With that said, we had a fab time. Probably due to the fact that we got engaged at the highest point of the mountain. Anyone out there last week who heard some random woman gabbling on the walkie talkie about being engaged it was me. Sorry very excited!
Also have a tan so thats the upside, beautiful sunshine. Were a few clouds coming in as we left so fingers crossed for you all. Most of all enjoy the hot chocolate and brandy, it's a winner!
