Back from Bansko

We arrived back from Bansko last Saturday. Well what can I say? We stayed at the Mountain Residence (self catering) and thought it was fantastic. We did'nt cook there at all because it was such great value to eat out. Our two boys (14 & 16) we gave 20 levs each every morning, that bought them food and drink on the mountain and they also bought food for supper and had change. We like Pamporovo, but in my oppinion Bansko has the edge. We flew from Bristol. My boys liked to be able to walk around the town they said it had more to offer.

Supermarkets in Bansko?

Hi
We are off to Bansko on Saturday (28 Jan).
Are there any supermarkets in Bansko?
What about places to buy snowboard equipment.

Im really excited, from South Africa and very keen to try snowboarding as we only have amazing beaches (poor us :-) )

re: Back from Bansko

Hi Grant, there are a few supermarkets in the town. The further away from the ski centre the cheeper they become. But the prices to eat out is are really quite cheep. We had a meal for four with drinks (the food was more than we could eat) and it cost us 60 leves £22. We did'nt buy any equipment because we allready have it. In our ski group we had Irish Australian Belgium and us. Have a great time and be safe Very Happy Very Happy
