Had another great holiday in Pamps. 11 of us including 5 kids of varying ages, 2 of us who have been for last 12 yrs. There was plenty of snow on all runs including Stokite, got a bit patchy at bottom but plenty of tracks to avoid. It hammered it down all Wed night and Thurs morning, still skied until 12.30 when all lifts closed due to wind. Was expecting a bad day Fri but slopes were great due to rain changing to snow.On Fri night went from a stream running down street to 4 inch of snow in a matter of hours.Skied Sat which was brilliant. Stayed in Perelik this year which was very good, triple rooms were huge, food good, found resort very quiet apart from Bank hol Sun/Mon.Prices are the main problem, beer varied 4/5lev but it was soft drinks for kids that were 5/6 lev when they are only 1.5 in supermarket, which meant bars lost out cos the kids just went to the Alaska and bought drinks.Everyone had a great time but some were shocked at the amount of money they spent during the week. looking at next year the prices to book have risen greatly and no longer a cheap deal when you get there. We love it but dubious whether it is now value for money.
Hi Jo
Heading there this weekend so cannot wait. Can you tell me what is the best way to change the currency and where. We are heading to the Belmont on Saturday and were planning to bring Euro but not sure where to change the money.
Take English and change at the little kiosk inside the ski depot if at ski centre 2 also known as Malina. Exchange rate was 2.10 there and only 2.00 at the Alaska supermarket in resort centre.
Didnt see many using Euro so order a few Lev or change your English there. Tesco were giving around 2.10 also so ck them
