We stayed in the Murgervets - excellent location centre of town, close to all bars and restaurants. The breakfast was basic but did the trick , dinner was vpoor there and we only had dinner once at Hotel, we had dinner in a different restaurant each eveing and the general concencus was the food and drink were great value but only ok, we were here last year so new what to expect.

Prices were a bit up from last year but still very cheap compared to home.

Our ski instructer was excellent throughout the week and we went with him to his local village for food , drink and shopping 1 of the nights. He did however pee us off at the end of the week when in a drunken state he complained about the tip we gave him, there were 6 of us in his class and we gave him 350 lev in total, we thought this was generous enough ?

I feel the biggest problem Pamps has going into the future is its reputation as a cheap sking holiday destination were young yobs can go to get p.....d and maybe do a little sking. We encountered a hugh increase in drunken idiots in our Hotel and the bars compared to last year. Due to the fact that sking in Bulgaria is so cheap its going to continue to attract the less desirable client.

We wont be back next year but may return in a few years when all the new runs are open and if it dosent get any rougher.

re: Back from Pamps

Average wage in the region is about 350 lev a month! So a 350 lev tip was seriously generous!

re: Back from Pamps

actually there were 7 not 6 of us with him and we gave 50 lev a head, works out about €25 euro each, at the time we tought it fair enough as we had a great week with him. not sure what ski school but from ski centre 2.

I jus wanna say a massive thx to our instructor Chris who made the week so great!
