Well i've just got back from a great week in Borovets. TO sum up.....
The Gondola was closed towards the end of the week due to the high winds, a real shame especially as we had a few inches of snow on Friday night, the skiing was better on saturday than it had been all week, so we really wanted to get back up to the top.

Prices have increased in some bars quite considerably since last year (9 drinks in on ebar cost 57LEV (avg £2.3 each) this included several soft drinks and fruit juices, so nothing exotic. Some traders are trying to make up for the reduced visitor numbers by increasing their prices, well at the end of the day, they all have to make a living!!
We (13 of us) stayed at the Samokov, and it was fine, the food was OK, nothing amazing, but plentiful, hot and varied.
We had a blast on the ATV's from the SIlver Fox, great fun, also, try one of the local Bulgarian evenings.
But above all, have a great time. The Bulgarians are great people, we're already planning our return for 2008!!
