Balkan holiday

i have never been with a tour operator before. We have booked with Balkan holidays. When we get through immigration will there be a rep with a board for us??

What do we do in the resort with regards to getting our skis and that as we have pre-paid for them through Balkan?

We are staying in borovets

Cheers

re: Balkan holiday

I just got back from Borovets with Balkan Holidays.

They will meet you at the airport and inform you of exactly what you need to do regarding ski packs etc etc...don't worry they are pretty organised.
My only complaint is that their planes could do with a little more leg room.

You will have a brilliant time...thats a promise.

re: Balkan holiday

there will be a rep the otherside of immigration with a balkan clipboard who will give you the bus number to get on.

to get your skis, there will be a welcome meeting the morning after you arrive, where you will be given your vouchers for equipment and lessons. if you are staying in the moura or smakov, the ski hire place is right next door to where you will have the welocome meeting.

it is very easy, trust me.

Yes after you thru the last set of doors the reps are waiting for you to tell you which coach to board. As for ski hire it depends on where you are staying and the tour operator. The last time I went with Balkan we had to meet them at 9.00 ish for the welcome meeting (one of the worst I'd been to) and at the end they give you your vouchers for equipment hire, ski school (if booked) and your lift pass. You then need to go to the ski depot to get your equipment be warned though the first ...

You will return your equipment to the depot everynight and get the same equipment the next day. Have fun you lucky bugger! Very Happy

I am only 18 and was a bit worried about what to do.

What is the main age range of people is there a lot of 18 year olds on their own without their parents?

You are gonna a have an amazing time. Borovets is the party capital of Bulgarian Skiing. If you get a chance go to the Happy Duck and meet Vicki she's an English girl working there who is a great laugh and will tell/show you what the hotspots are in Boro. Booze
