And what are peoples views on the whole ski V snowboard rivalry? Im going with a group who all snowboard but im the only skier , got an inkling this could be slightly frustrating as im sure i will be down the slopes faster then them and will be waiting around alot....has anyone ever gone mixed down a slope before- whats it like?!!!!
Cant wait to get out there anyway !
The gondala is at the top of the town, and I believe your appartments are pritty much next to it!!!
If you walk off the lift you can go to the pub opposite straight off the gondala. Ok in there.. big pub like.
You will find if you walk down the hill from your appartments, in will take you 5-10 mins, depending if your drunk already. You will see a pub called the lion, as the road bends left past a nice looking hotel near the bowling ally. Also near by there is a bar called "amigos" ...

I would just say, go on the bar crawl, and they will show you places to go..
I board & friends ski, you'll be fine, just let them get the lift 1st and go down infront of you, sure you can stop off for a hot choc and brandy and wait for them. although, I can keep up with me skiing pals, but the are only intermediate's and so am I on my board, enjoy your trip, the views off the lifts at the top of the mountain are great!
Thanks Rich, sounds like we're booked for a great place then...plenty of bars by the sounds of it , and im guessing restaurants are just as easy to find?
Any tips on where to go for a good spa after a hard day on the slopes- I want to go to a steam room and jacuzzi place..or are these all attached to the big hotels....?
Yeah they are all in the hotels, well as far as I am aware.
Unsure whether you can pop into one of those. sure someone else could advise regarding that.
One thing we did last year was the 1st day after a ski was hire a bike and go for a ride around the town get our bare'ins then go on the pub crawl... its a big resort and there are plenty on local places to eat, you will have a really good time I am sure. enjoy the kaminitza
Dont read to much into the boarders v skiers if just abit of fun...mostly.
I go away with a mix of boarders and skiers and to be honest its a case of whoever gets to the bottom first...agreed skiing in general is faster than boarding but there again that all depends who rideing the skis
