Bansko's future..

hi there!

have read a lot about bansko on this site.

Just wondering if there are any plans to try and increase the size of the ski area, what with all these new hotels and apartments springing up?

It was in "24hours" newspaper that the planning for 2 new pistes in the excisting ski area has been passed. Also the plans for one new cabin lift.

The proposal for 7 new pistes in an adjacent area was rejected.
When Balkan Holidays 2nd Edition Brochure comes out they should have a descrption of the new projects.

Yes you are right. That was just the plans that have been passed at the minute. Hopefully a few more will follow!!
