dont know what went wrong on that post. anyway, to cut a long story short........ I was riding 4 inches of powder in Basnk this morning. and a little past the end of gondla it has been snowing all day.

It was there this morning at about 08:45 to 09:45, got crap after that, but if you get there early tomorrow I am convinved it would be good at least for a hour or two.Admittdley, it was pretty bad by midday, but compared to the last few days it is a 500% imporvement.
The Snow Road looks bad because of the rain at lower levels, but it was snowing higher up and I still reckon tomorrow early will be good.... I will certainly keep off too many booze this evening just in case

In town and at top of the gondola it's been raining all day which has turned the Ski Road and beginners area to slush.
Higher up it was snowing when I was up there at 10am but it then turned to sleet/rain and we gave up after one run this afternoon - as Craig says, the conditions were crap - very heavy wet snow on ground and risking knackered knees!
Thing is, as I see it, I've skied for 4/4 days - Ok limited number of pistes open BUT the missus and my 4 duaghters (I know, I know ...
In town and at top of the gondola it's been raining all day which has turned the Ski Road and beginners area to slush.
Higher up it was snowing when I was up there at 10am but it then turned to sleet/rain and we gave up after one run this afternoon - as Craig says, the conditions were crap - very heavy wet snow on ground and risking knackered knees!

We can't control the weather so why worry about it? The godsend for us has been the facilities at the Perun. The service and facilities would embarrass most 4 * hotels in the UK (I stay frequently at them through my job and I often get v. poor experiences).
Will I come back to Bansko given a choice - YES! We don't give away our hard erned cash easily and Bansko/Hotel Perun is GOOD VALUE for our dosh!
