I did a 1 week beginner course in Borovets last year and was competent enough to get down a red run (However it was a pretty sight, it was rather slow sloppy skiing sometimes).. I`m off to Bansko this year with a few mates, so two quetions....
1..Anyone going the week of 21st Jan...
2..What level of skiig would you recommended for this years instruction as I don`t to get stuck in the wrong level and it be too easy, or too difficult.....are there different levels of ...

If you are going to ski school, you can always move up or down a class if necessary - they will ask you what skiing you have done before and put you in the class they feel suits best.
Loads of us going on 21st Jan - mostly Pamps and Borovets though
You should be assessed on your first morning, if you can do linked snowplough turns that should be enough to get you up the mountain...
If you really want to progress talk to your instructor about some one to one instruction
I was just a tad worried, because although I could ski down a red run now, it wouldn`t be neat and very technical, it would be basically slow in places and fast in others etc etc....
when we went last year, some of my mates had already done the beginner, so they went into the intermdiate and the stuff they were doing is not what I would call I could do after one week in the beginner. I wouldnt want to waste my time with the beginner again cause thats ...
