Bansko - what's happenning?

Why after the last 2 days snowfall are the runs and lifts temporarly closed and do you not think that the snow seems to be "disappearing" on the webcam pictures. Sorry to sound negative but i'm just a little concerned that there won't br any snow left when we go on 02/01/2005.re: Bansko - what's happenning?

You must remember that the webcam photo is of 965m. Skiing in Bansko takes place up to 2500m.
When I was in Bansko last March in resort to start with there was nothing in resort, but on the slopes the conditions although requiring a little more snow was skiable.

Thanks for the report - very informative. !8 of us arriving 02/01/05. Been to Pamporovo 10 times and Borovets once, this is our first time in Bansko so just a little unsure of the unknownre: Bansko - what's happenning?
Paul you and your group will love Bankso, there is so much to lovere: Bansko - what's happenning?
At present the very top is not open but I'm sure it will be soon, I have been told that what is open is good. Hope it helps.re: Bansko - what's happenning?
