Bansko 10th March

I finally booked up, heading to Bansko (first time) in march for a week.

While surfing the net for reviews someone mentioned Bansko is a bit of a "construction site" does anyone have an update on the situation ?

Also while I'm here, I'm sure I read somewhere that Bansko has new ski passes you dont need to swipe ? if so do we still need passport photos ?

There will be no snow left in march! its ALL coming this weekend for us heading out on saturday.

On a more serious note- No you don't need passport photos, you get a chip card that you can keep in your pocket at all times! You dont even need to swipe it!

And yes there is building work going on, but I didnt think it was a major problem (last yr anyway!) Will llet you know the situation when we return on the 3rd Feb

yeah ok.i normally go in jan but decided this year to have my birthday on the piste, will be there from 10 of march also

@ skibunny, I was heading for a birthday on the slopes (4th March) but some of my group couldn't get off work till 10th.

Guna sound like a real posh snob now, but we're in the kempinski. We got such a good deal for our group though it was silly to turn down.

Thats cool about the no passport pic and the ski passes!
