My boyfriend and I have booked our holiday to Bansko, for 11th March and we are both very excited
I have one question if anyone can help, how much money should we be taking with us?!
I have read that you can only change money in resort, and they dont accept Credit Cards, and when they do they apply very high charges. Also there arnt many ATMS?!
There are enough ATM's. One is at the Gondola. Last year it would not give more than 200 leva a day. credit cards are accepted, but not widely. No charges as far as I remember.
a couple earlier on this site said they spent £250 between them but they were half board I think.
I spent £300 last time I went for a week, god knows how.... not sure if I lost some.... I must admit it was a lot to spend on my own in Bulgaria, probably base it on around £150 to £200 each and you should be fine
Just got back also, wasn't to careful with my spending, bought a face mask on the slope for 30levs, and I spent in total around £90, my partner spent about £ 120 all week, we were half board but did eat out a couple of times. There are loads of ATMs out there.
Dear Gemsey,
Just make sure you DON'T exchange money in the street/ booths -use ONLY bank or hotel desk. Otherwise you will definately get ripped off. Please, follow this advice.
Have a great time!
reckon I definately lost some money - no idea how one person half board managed to spend £300 specially when all my drinks were free???? its not what you know its who you know
going again on the 4th reckon I need to hold tight onto my money.....
