Boardbirdyou'll have a fab time. I wish I was going back (we were out last month). Last i checked ther is some serious snow forecast for the next few days.
Oh, as for drinks, the Happy End is very expecsive, go a little further into Bansko town and try some of the real mehanas... much cheaper and great atmosphere

just avoid any restaurants where they have some 'geezer' outside trying to 'matey' you inside to be ripped off !! dedo pene is very good by the church in the square

You will have a great time, was boarding there the week from 1st feb to the 8th and had some great snow conditions at the beginning of the week. Towards the end of the week it wasn't quite as good as they had no snow for a few days, but looking at the snow they have had over the past day or so and the snow due in the next couple of days you will have some great conditions.
Was my first time in Bulgaria boarding having been to Canada, France and Italy many times before and loved it. Ok ...

Was my first time in Bulgaria boarding having been to Canada, France and Italy many times before and loved it. Ok the mountain may not be as big as these other resorts but it is plenty for the week and it is a country mile cheaper as well. Great balance of apres ski in Bansko, I agree with Rach re. the Happy end. Got well and truly ripped off in there when we got off the hill on our first day, cos there were 11 of us they thought they could slip in a few extras on to our bill so promptly left and never went back, I would avoid.
There is a great bar across the car park from the Happy End called 0 degrees, I think it is attached to the Bansko Towers hotel, great beer, cheap (3 lev a pint) and very friendly. In there most days straight off the hill for a couple of post boarding beers.
Eating wise I would go down to the main square and try the real bulgarian mehanas, had some fantastic meals down there, dedo pene and the Butchers House were very good.
