Been reading this forum for a few weeks... very informative
According to some (most), we'll have a great time and according to others (a few) we'll get mugged, have stuff stolen from our room, have our boards stolen on the hill and our hats/goggles stolen from the mtn restaurants and finally be maimed or killed in slope accidents. Oh, not to forget being delayed by anywhere between 3-30 hours on the return journey/flight
So are we looking forward to it...... yes indeed ...

We usually head off stateside but are pennypinching this year... supposedly saving money for a couple of new MX bikes (but I seem to have 'spent' that money) flying from Edinburgh, but having to drop off/down to pick some sotherners up unfortunately
Anyway, some questions:
1. Any stories/info/tips good or bad on the Kempinski Hotel where we will be staying?
2. Has anyone used the wi-fi access (with your own laptop) in the Kempinski which I believe is charged at 5 euro per hour or 8 euro per 2 hours? How do they administer this?
3. Is there a shop in the Kempinski for soft drinks/snacksetc for chomping on in the rooms?
4. Excluding 'drinking' money, how much would you say it costs per person per day for a snack lunch on the hill and a decent night time meal?
5. Has the mythical funpark been built yet?
6. What's the general level of the snowboarders in the resort?
7. Any other Scots heading out on 26th from Edinburgh?
Hi, Can't help with the Q's about the hotel, but a meal on the mountain cost us between 3 and 5 lev and hot choc. was 2 leva. We had a really good meal in a local pub and for 2 of us inc. tip it came to £10. As regards drinking money, we were paying 1.50lev a 500ml bottle, so unless you are going to get hammered every night its not a lot. The funpark hasn't been built yet.
