Adz, whats the board park looking like? not bothered about the pipe cos its either a myth or just pap. Is there a range if sizes of kickers and table tops? A few years ago it was just pretty big stuff.

re: Bansko Blues

Exchange rate was about 2.50 levs to 1 pound, give or take a little bit. Phil, the board park was pretty poor to be honest, there are no rails or boxes. There was 3 kickers i think, 2 of them are fence off and the one left open is only a small one.Still pretty fun but your better off making your own in the powder to the right of the park as you look down on it. There are already a few little ones there, just don't go too far right though otherwise you will never get back to the piste and ...

There are already a few little ones there, just don't go too far right though otherwise you will never get back to the piste and have to trek for 5 hours down to the town like we accidently did. We never found the half pipe, it was marked on the piste map but was no where to be found. I'm thinkin bout headin back to Bansko over the Easter weekend, only for 4 days though, just need to try and find the cheapest flights.

cheers man, shame about the park but i'm sure i'll find somethink to keep me happy. Good luck finding a cheap flight. Wouldnt tie yourself to Bansko if i was you, though i love the place. Just try for a good last minte deal. If you dont care where you go you'll surely find a cheap package deal.

re: Bansko Blues

Adz we're off in 3 weeks time and my son who's 12 was looking forward to the park.
He put a lot of older guys to shame in Tignes lat year with his jumping.
Is there enough for him to progress in the park?
Personally I'm happy to get down the slopes in 1 piece with my hubby and well behind my speed freak 15 year old.
Cheer up matey.... I'll have fun for you until you get back

re: Bansko Blues

Plenty of ATM's in Bansko I never change £ in the UK I simply take any left over levs last time 5 levs... take some out at the Airport Sofia ATM's on my switch card the rates are very good and no commission.

When I went in the Summer a beer was between 0.8 to 3 levs. The 3 levs being in the Hotel bar and the 0.8lev being in a nice very old local we found. Most places Mehanas and bars seemed to charge around the 1.5 - 2.5 lev area sure if you went for UK imported beers youd pay 5 levs but ...

re: Bansko Blues

The only reason i'm tying myself to Bansko is that we basically get the apartment there for free, never know though. Might venture off somewhere else in to europe if the right price comes up. Just need something to look forward to at work again rather than having snow depressin.
