Bansko FIS event

We are coming to Bansko on the 20th - 24th Jan and I've heard that there are a few FIS european races on that week - does anyone know how this will affect resort ie gondola queues and if any pistes will be closed to the public?

Thanks Kirri

Looks like the banderiza and Tomba will be used which is a nightmare if they are closed to the public as we are only there 3 days?
Is this sort of event a big deal - many spectators??

re: Bansko FIS event

Europa cup, does not draw the crowds or the coverage of FIS events... Ladies downhill and super G next year, and the following year will see the first mens premier event, slalom world cup... the bell ringers will be in town Razz
Best avoid those times Wink so i can get up the mountain and get in the party Booze

re: Bansko FIS event

Looking at the FIS site it's a slalom event, i.e. relatively short course < 1km.
