Not been in Jan but have been at xmas and in march, if you get there before 8.30 max waiting time 20 mins if that. After 9ish it can be very long, have heard of over 1 hour wait. Over the years we have noticed ulen have got better with the que system and filling gondlas when its busy. best advice is either get there early or have a tactic of just jumping a gondla with room and meeting your group at the top.
Before half term was a Serbian, Romanian and Russian holiday. Depends what time you want to get up there? If you go early you miss the queue between 09.30 and 10.30 it is bigger and could be up to an hour wait. You can miss the gondola if queues are big by driving up the mountain road, there are taxi's or you could ring us we offer this service. Pick you up from apartment and take you up.

We went through half term 15 Feb_ 22nd which was a Tuesday to Monday hol. We found that if we collected our ski stuff from across the road at 8am we were on the gondola by 8.40(it started at 8.30 ish I think. It was worth the 20 mins of queuing as we were skiing by 9am. did have a lift for 2 days from nightmuffy which was good too!! otherwise its not worth going up before 10.30ish I don't think!!
