Bansko Hotel Recommendations

Hi,

I was out in Pamporovo earlier this year and have been considering heading out to Bansko in March to take advantage of the free lift pass offer whilst I can. Does anyone have any preferences when it comes to the hotels in Bansko? Any that are great or should be avoided?

Had a good time at the Gardenia - great facilities, good shuttle service to gondola, Really pleasant staff.

Perun is very nice, lovely spa area, and the lounge bar is great and has a good atmosphere. About 7 min walk or regular bus to gondola. Staying here 2nd time next week. Stayed in the Lion last year but no where near as good.

Thanks for the replies. Has anyone here been to Bansko late March - early April before? How busy does it tend to be? Any Greek or Bulgarian school holidays around that time?

I've been out there once in April, the snow was good & the resort was quiet as most of the tour op's had finished by the end of march. I went with Balkan who have there own hotels out there. Had a good time Booze

See Hotel Georg, - (Hadji Georgi) - 3 min. walk from Gondol - Bansko conditions: very good at the moment, lots of snow - Hadji Georgi are a little family run pension, lovely food, friendly, - and now the run a special offer, see under Hotel George - try it
