Been to Borovets and stayed in the Rila. liked being in the centre of things and near to the slopes. Anyone been to Bansko and can recommend a good hotel??
Perun Was fab last year, the outdoor pool was amazing, it took me about 5-7 mins to walk to the Strazhite (It would've been quicker without the snow and ice!) and my torch came in very handy... last year it was the fav haunt of the BG maffia (being the newest and 'best') though I'm guessing that'll be the Kempinsky Grand Arena this year!
My mum and dad stayed at the Strazhite... the comparisons:
1. 'S' was a maze
2. 'S' pool - rather slippery but otherwise fab
'P' pools - out-door ...

'P' pools - out-door was about 40degrees C(especially if you're the first one in), indoor pool cooler but a good size
3. I felt that the Perun was a little more luxurious but the S wasn't far behind
4. I think the price was pretty similar last year
5. ...... depends what you want to know....
Although the Perun is further out, they (reportedly) offered a pick-up service from the town (which is only a 5-10 min walk away.
The Gondola station is Equidistant between the Stra and Perun and both have regular (1/2 hourly) shuttle bus service (Kempinsky is THERE! at the bottom of the Bansko Road Ski run)
So I guess it depends on what you want!
I hope I've helped (rather than comfused you more!)
