If you are travelling to Bansko independently and are planning to buy 6 or 9 day lift passes at the gondola you will have a digital photo taken at the kiosk.
I found this out after queuing for 1 and a half hours to buy the lift passes for the family. I got to the front of the queue to be told that due to the photo they could only sell 6 & 9 day passes to people who are present.
I had to buy a one day pass and we all had to stand in that stupid queue again the next day.
Thanks Dave We will remember that for next week. Any other top tips, what time did you get to the gondola for? Did you use the ski lockers, do you know if you puut money in them like our lockers here or they kept inside a shop? Cheers for any infor and hope you had a good time.................
I got there at 0830 on the Sunday and still had to wait 1 and a half hours. They really need to sort that mess out.
Use the locker room by the stairs on the gondola they charge about 25 Lev to store skis and boots for a week. It beats lugging them about all the time. There is a guy called Mihail working there who may do you a deal in exchange for some airways chewing gum ( blue) After Sunday the queues for the passes go down considerably.
Oh yeah one more tip if there is a big queue ...

Oh yeah one more tip if there is a big queue going out of the main door go round to the right by the ski storage room and join the queue by the stairs.
Thanks gratefully appreciated Dave, someone also recomended to us to have a leisurely morning and walk about town and go back after lunch, what do you think? i can't believe they don't have a more efficient way of doing it. I mean we don't mind queuing but an hour an d a half seems a bit ridiculous just for a pass. Thanks again.............
