Head for Shilligarnika, try `friends', a lot more reasonable, and better food...
Dunno about to much snow, but took over an hour to dig out a bus this morning... Drove up to drop off some lift passes for guests at `White Firs' near the golf course, was like driving up a piste
Tempertures have really dropped now and the wind has got up, look out tomorrow, its gonna be freezing
The forecasted wind showed uo today on the top of the mountain, closing both Plato's.
We skied the left half of the mountain this morning, and the plan was to ski 4/6/9 this afternoon.
The lift from the bottom of 12 got a bit rough as we approached the top. To be honest I was suprised it was left open. The winds had blown away most the snow at the tops of 5 & 10 making the start of both runs very icy. I can only presume both Plato's were closed for this reason. Having skied variations ...

In all the years we are going to Bansko, none of the 4 of us ever noticed this place before. Now we have eaten there we wonder how we ever missed the place.
The missus had a hot wine for 4 Lev, and the brother & I devoured the fantastic Chicken kebabs that were 7 Lev. Hot chocolate waqs 1 Lev cheaper than Ulen retaurants at 5 Lev. I highly recommend this place but your ski instructors will not bring you here!!!
Anyway lunch over so we skied down towards the gondola only to find the chair lift uo Tomba closed. We could only assume that most of the upper half of the right side of the mountain was closed.
Plan B Chalin Valog. Even though it was a bit icy we did it twice. Although not as tough as 4 & 9 together, the were a good plan B to have.
|Saying that we did 4, 6, & 9 yesterday and they were full of , which made the going tough but most enjoyable none the less.
Anyway its been lashing down snow all day today, so the plan is to get up the mountain 1st to complete 4, 6, & 9 untouched after todays snow.
Nice one Charlie... kebabs are good aren't they
Try the traditional restaurant inside, as you go into the toilet area there is a fast food on the left, and the traditional on the right...
My personal favourite is `white cheese, shopski style'... cooked in a clay pot, hot white cheese with peppers, chillis and veg... lovely, and about 8lv... or the serinee banne (deep fried breaded white cheese), salty cheese, battered then fried, perfect with beer... O, and the banski sausage Mmmmmmmmmmmm
