Bansko Meet - Monday 10 April @ 7.30pm

Me and others from the talkbansko.com forums are meeting at Sir Galahads if anyone fancies joining us for a few shandies.

Apparently Sir Galahads is now staying open all year (although the band and more experienced staff have left for the Black Sea coast resorts). However, they have apparently cut their prices by 50% to make up for this.

More info can be found here:

I understand that lift passes in Bansko has also been cut by 30% during April... no doubt this will be proportionate to the remaining snow!!!

Kind regards

Justin

re: Bansko Meet - Monday 10 April @ 7.30pm

Just returned from Bansko and the skiing was excellent.

It gets a bit cut up in the afternoons but we had some fantastic skiing conditions before 2 pm especially Wednesday to Friday.

The queues of December and February were non existant and the pistes are as good as empty.

This was my best trip of the season due to the lack of queuing. I would definately recommend visiting late March / early April.

Dave it was interesting to hear your views of the condition of the slopes. Can you please be good enough to let me know what the actual ski area is like. I know its appox 65km but in terms of the number / length of runs is there really enough to keep the majority of skiers interested or do you simply find yourself constantly repeating the same runs
