Bansko Mid March

Has anybody been to Bansko in mid march. I normally go in Jan, but couldn't manage it this year and so am trying to fit a sneaky one in for Easter. Is there still generally plenty of snow?

Yes, I went last year mid March and am going again this year 15th March. Even though last year was terrible for snow across europe skiing was pretty good in Bansko. All runs open even manged to get down the ski road.
Nice time to go as it is a bit warmer and normally quieter,but as It is easter this time I guess that goes out of the window.

Me too, I am going mid March, evan though it's Easter, I figured most people have taken their ski holiday by then. Historically the snow looks reasonable this time of year.

Not in Bulgaria. Orthodox Easter is from 25 April - 28 April this year.

At least it should reduce the number of local holidaymakers.

im going march 8th. also read prior to booking that historically th snow is good in march. however, the warms temps that they are currently getting are beginning to worry me...

Yes I know that Baldur, I am just hoping that the rest of the UK stays at home that week!!
