Bansko New Year

After having two great holidays in Pamps we are thinking of booking for new year at Bansko, can anyone give review for new year time or recommend any good family hotels as we have a 14 yr old girl, also are there plenty of green & blue runs as the missus is'nt a overly confident skier (but a very advanced apres skier). Before i bought an apartment, we used to always stay at the hotel Avalon. Its a fantastic hotel ran by James and his wife Vania, and has all the traits of a great family hotel. if your wantin to eat out out on new years eve you are best off booking well early as new year is busier than xmas. The snow was pretty good at this time and there are plenty of good runs for yourself. For apres ski try amigos or the happy end bar, and for a little more hardcore dancing and drinking try oxygen.

re: Bansko New Year

run down to bansko will suit your wife down to ground if it's open. we were in bansko for new year 2004/05 - had a fantastic time but the skiroad to bottom gondola was closed. few nice easy blue runs she will enjoy especially after some hot wine!!!
