Bansko Open When?

I may be in Bansko this weekend (13th/14th Dec).

Does anyone know whether there is likely to be any snow, and whether the lifts, pistes & board hire shops are likely to be open?

Also, I am travelling with my 6 months pregnant wife, and would like a warm, comfortable & quiet hotel (not a room above a nightclub!). Anyone particular recommendations?

You will read from earlier postings that not only will the slopes be open in Bansko on 13th December, but they will be officially opened on that day by none other than Alberto Tomba!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure you get a photo and your skis autographed.

The season in Bansko starts on the 13th of December.
I hope all the lifts, pistes and board hire shops will be open

Sorry to disappoint you, but you will only watch Alberto Tomba... I am just back today from Bansko, after a 3 days trip. There was a little bit snow, but melting under the sun. All the pistes are closed, and the cabins work for test until mid distance only. The forecast dont plan snowfalls before a long time, so I can t see any hope of practicing ski next week end unfortunately
