Hi Debbie,

We're planning to move to BG as well in 2007. Are you an ex-pat or local? If you are an ex-pat, how did you go about getting residence visas issued? We've got a couple of companies in BG but are finding it difficult to manage them from afar, especially as we live in Dubai.

Cheers,
Denis
PS We have property in Boro

The 2 main tourist bars are Happy End opposite the gondola base and the Lion Bar opposite the hotel Strazhite (this has sky sports). Another popular bar in the town is Kafe Parfe. There are also night clubs but I didn't go in them so can't help you there. Perhaps another poster can give you some info on this.

Cheers

Hi Denis,
I am an expat, and we dont have a residence visa. We have long term visas which last for a year and then need renewed, you can get them in a horrible office on the outskirts of sofia! of course when we first came to bg, we got a visa from london, but there are so many ways to do it....you can get in greece...etc. It will be tricky for you coming from Dubai. Are you British?
Managing a BG company is no easy feat, its good if you can find a good lawyer to look after it all, ...

Managing a BG company is no easy feat, its good if you can find a good lawyer to look after it all, but if you dont live here then you'll only be able to contact all the expensive ones! if you have a particular question i'll put it on the quest bg "ask an expert" panel and get an answer for you!
Hope all that helped,
if you are ever over give us a shout and we'll meet up with you in borovets, we live in kostenets....we have a guesthouse!

re: Bansko Pubs, Clubs etc

Amigos was the best bar I found in Bansko. Mind you I didn't look far.

The Lion Pub is fine when quiet but is such a small place it gets packed quickly.

If there's a few of you you could have a great night out in the Mehanas.
