Currently showing as open - status green on Banskoski.com.I assume this is a mistake or have they been working on the avalanche protection?

Why would that be? It's years away from second gondela. Instead this summer they could install a new chair lift to the top of red 14 from the base startion.Waiting for the gondola planning permission will take years then actually building it will be years again a huge infrastructure job.

The existing gondola was completed in under 18 months, with a break in the middle for winter weather..
The avalanche protection system installed last summer on the Cherni Mogli slopes where the existing red 14 chair and pistes sit, has been commissioned this winter, and tested without fault. This perhaps could indicate the refurbishment of the Akidemika chair and the re-opening of the two red pistes. They have remained on the resort list so they would not be lapsed, and require fresh ...

Hopefully other works on the mountain will proceed this summer season as well, the planned installations of two chairs, Shilligarnika to Todorka high speed 4/6 man, and upgrade of red 7 T-bar to 4 man chair..
If you look at things logically, why would they invest in avalanche protection on slopes that do not threaten existing skiing ?? and update and increase uplift (Shilli 6 man), if they were not intending to increase numbers being uplifted to that area ?? Shilligarnika being the rumoured new top station of the second uplift from the town..
I am sure Ulen have a plan, i just wish they would share it with the rest of us, save us having to speculate
2013/14 will be the time as the re-zoning will allow for more development within the park area, fingers crossed, unless the enviroMENTALists get their way
