Bansko Shopping

Hi Folks,
Have booked a last minute getaway for Sat 12th for me and my partner.
Unfortunately we won't be ski-ing as my partner is recovering from a serious back injury so we thought we may as well indulge in the apres ski Booze and indulge in some pampering at the spa facilities.
As well as having a poorly back my other half also has a severe allergy to shopping, so I was planning to leave him in a man creche ( Booze ) and do some retail therapy.

My question is are there many clothes shops there, at home (North Scotland) we do a lot of walking and could do with replacing some of our gear, so the type of things I was thinking of are waterproof breatheable jackets, soft shell trousers and decent thermals.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give Very Happy

Hi,
You might find that the shops are either expensive or cheap! The cheap ones are ok if it's not the real thing your looking for!
however there are plenty of excursions that all the operators use, so a day trip to Plovdiv or Sofia even the rila monastery are your best bet for things to do, Plovdiv is an ancient city with lots of shops so as Sofia, Sofia is normally done on the last day as that's where the airport is, booking is best done by the Balkan office in the town square opp the ...

Hi Terry,
Many thanks for your help it's very much appreciated.
I should have said that I've been to Bulgaria before this will be my 8th time, but just never been to Bansko.
Plovdiv is lovely and have previously spent many happy summer days wandering around there, but to be honest I had never even given Sofia a thought so this sounds like a great idea to me, thank you so much for the suggestion, its a definite winner!! Very Happy Very Happy
