[28-29 January 2013] KAPPY Cup, FIS races with SL, 1 GS

anymore news on this event at Bansko, and what it involves in terms of piste closure etc. would be nice to know as out there on saturday for a week... hope it's not the tomba as it was closed when i went last year!

Pretty sure there is nothing major this year - wheras the last 2 years there have been FIS events which have meant closures.

On Banskoski.com it says there is something this early next week:

Not sure of the scale of this - but it doesn't sound anythiong like the scale of the previous years - plus looking on the webcams, no stands being built...

Sure you will be fine - if not for all of your stay, then most of it.

Its BG junior championships (Kappy is a fruit drink).. It will be a seeding race so will be quite important to the competitors.. likely they will use Tomba, but just the edge, and should not interfere to much with you hurtling down there...

well i'll make sure i ski it on my first day (27th) just in case it is closed for the 2 days after... but yeah cheers for the info.
