Bansko Ski Hire Quality

After going to Borovets in 2010 we were very dissapointed with the quality of their ski hire; choosing between Bansko and Borovets, I was wondering if anyone knew what the quality of the ski hire is over there, or if Borovets have changed theirs since.

If you are hiring from Ulen the gear is brand new, and the range is extensive including all-mountain twin tips... The local hires are cheaper but the standard can vary... I have no idea about Boro...

cheers... i wouldn't have a clue who the the ski hire would be with as the holiday would be booked through balkan holidays, who don't tell you.

Blimey Steve, Ulen buying new ski gear, did the old stuff finally fall apart or did the rocks early in the season finish off the old stuff they used to have!!

If your booked with Balkan, you will be with Ulen (same company... who also own the plane you flew on, the hotel you stay in, the restaurants on the mountain, the path you walk on the mountain, the piste you ski on the mountain, the air you breath etc etc etc)

The old gear was not to bad Don, but brand new now, and a good range...
