Bansko Ski Road

Out next week. Is the Ski road/run open from the top gondola to the bottom gondola/happy end.
On the webcams it looks as if the snow is deteriorating in some places, is this the case??? Booze Cool Booze

Should be kept open/groomed, it's a nice relaxing ski down. There might be a bit of poling in a few places if you get your speed wrong;-), and it gets v. icy/slushy on the final run to the gondola station, depending on temperature.

Did it most days last year - but once you start, there's no going back!

So true! On doing it for the first time last year I thought I would venture down with my 5 year old boy who had 'sort of got the hang of skiing' - gawd what a struggle! I felt quite worried erm - several hours later Surprised when we were only 1/2 way down and darkness was soon to be approaching Surprised Anyway we got assisted by a kindly ski instructor who took Cameron's hand and I had the other and then we whisked him down!! Needless to say, I just stuck to doing it on my own from then on ...
