Bulgaria Ski discussion board

The Bansko snow factory blasts snow for several days now. The low temperatures facilitate the whole process. As it is expected for the wheather to stay cold, the ski & snowboard fans have all the reasons to remain optimistic for a great season start in Bansko.

So I'm hoping for more input by the likes of Steve C who is my virtual optimistic guru when it comes to snow forecasts. For those who have the ability to keep us busy and keep us optimistic for the days to come till everyone's trip date comes ever closer...please join in whether you have on site reports or anything related to white stuff.

My only source for now are web cams and in some I see they have started to shoot snow from the cannons on raw land...I wonder how good that can be and so on.

Snow it seems is in short supply over the Alps, according to the `Snowheads' reports, La Plagne showing 0cm, only glacier skiing in Tignes. Austria fairing no better, clear blue skies but very cold.
Spain claims a little, around 20cm, but Europe in general is not good at all... unlike Japan, the main resorts seeing another 30cm last night.
The overall feeling is that it is coming, the base has frozen in preparation for the first real snow, and local forecasters are predicting a rough winter snow wise... Fingers crossed eh ???
