re: Bansko Snow

Was closed for a couple of days due to winds when I was last there - seems to be the main closure reason in Bansko....Time to get out and explore the surroundings! Very Happy

re: Bansko Snow

The last couple of days the top of the mountain was closed because of high winds - shame as on Monday it was SUPERB. Today also, but they managed to open the Tomba lift until about 1400. It is very warm (11 degrees at the top of the gondola) and melting rapidly. Only three slopes and one lift/2 drag lifts are open. Its not very busy though but I expect that will all change tomorrow. Take a good book.

re: Bansko Snow

we went to Bulgaria in the spring and you could get straight onto the gondola (miracle?) i think the slopes seem to be unpopulated is that many British tourists are being careful spenders and aren't going. Don't worry with snow, on the slopes it was in double + temperatures, 22 degrees in the town and it took around 7 days for it to get bad enough to close the gondola, don't worry.
