There is snow in the town but the ski road down to the bottom has not yet been pisted and as it is a gentle slope it is not skiable at the moment. I'm sure that they will get it OK for the Christmas crowd though. When are you going out?Val

Not for ages yet, fly out on the 21st Jan. I was in Bansko last year at the start of Jan and we didnt have any snow in the village, until the night we left lol.re: Bansko Town
arggh we are going at the end of jan and not thought about the town not having snow - i know its lower the ski road iwll be open to the botom won't it even if not enoguh snow? will cannons keep it skiable?

Cannons can only work if the temperature is low enough. You will just have to pray to the snow god.

man i am going to become the most religious person there isand that they get a huge freezer sitting over bulgaria !!!!

I wouldn't worry about the mountain temperatures as they are going to be well below freezing for the foreeable future - honestly!
