Have booked my first ski holiday to Bansko with Crystal Hols -UK- for January next year, so excited too! Was wondering if anyone knows which ski school Crystal uses? We've booked a beginners package, but were planning to brush up with a few dry ski lessons before we come (can't remember much from 10 years ago when I went with school). Am hoping beginners isn't going to be too easy though, and that we'll still be able to progress quite quickly? Otherwise we could change to improvers lessons ...

Ok Crystal will use the main school Ulen. With regard to the learn to ski part if you have been even 10 years ago you may well suprise yourself and pick it up quickly. The drk ski lessons are a good idea as it will help you progress quickly when you go skiing. But if you do this a learn to ski package will not suit you as you will spend your 1st day going over stuff you have already learned trust me you will be bloody annoyed if you have learnt to snowplough and find yourself going over ...

So have the lessons here but do not go learn to ski when you get to Bansko just tell them you have had some lesson's and they will get you to do a few turns and put you in a suitable group.
If you tell your Ulen ski instructor on the first morning they might have an improvers group that they can put you into, we did this. Katarino Spa, beautiful! Enjoy
