All sounded promising until i just cheched forcast. Now says 7cm on Friday. Sod it it! i'm still going. Maybe leave my board at home though.
For the last week i've told myself i wont look at forcasts cos i cant do anything about the weather and it depresses me. However i still look every hour!
I'm waiting for someone on here to say "Dont worry Steve, there will be 2 foot of fresh powder for you when you arrive"
If it helps any last time I went to Bulgaria there was 5-15cm before we flew. 2ft+ once landed. Must admit I'm slipping into pesssimism mode though. Glad the Pamporovo cam looks white now - must have been awfull for the guys going there seeing grass every day.
this year is different. It rarely rains/snows, and the weather is warm >> the runs are in a very bad condition.
Ski resorts in Bulgaria are not very high, that's why the ski conditions are bad there when the weather is not perfect.
And that's why from now I will always prefer to book my ski holidays in the Alps. Maybe it's a little bit more expensive, but you are sure to have a good time skiing.
cheers
Hi Robert,
My so has just come back from Soll Austria. He paid £120 for a lift pass and they could only go on 1 slope because of the lack of snow. So it up to you where you go
Hi
Went to Zermatt-Switzerland last december. 2m of snow on the top at 4000m. Runs working at 100% everywhere (500km of runs).
Bulgarian runs look like a resort for kids when compared
