Bansko World Cup Lifts open?

Can anyone tell me what lifts and runs are closed due to the world cup. It would appear that Platato and Todorka have been shut for a couple of days but not sure if this is due to weather. Will be gutted if Platato is not open as this seems excessive for the half term week.

They were closed this time last year as well..... Not happy if that's going to be the case again for a month

Hi - surely Plato North and Plato South would not be shut due to the World Cup - perhaps high winds ?
Could anybody check as I am heading out on 11th and it would be shame to only ride parts of the mountain
Is Todorka the event run ?
Confused

re: Bansko World Cup Lifts open?

in the event... well was closed for preperations for the cup when i went last week, were Alberto Tomba (9) and the number 6 red run. the last 2 days when i was there, the top was closed due to high winds and heavy snow, so i presume that is what's happening now.

hope that helps Smile

Hi
I managed to book the half term week and a couple of days after in Bansko without appreciating that the World Cup would be in town.
I have also been watching the lift and piste closures and contacted the organising committee who mentioned that 5 of the pistes would be closed. I have been trying to find out whether this was for the duration or just for the weekends. They did say that Plato would be accessible though.

There does not seem to be a definitive statement on what is accessible to the skiing public during the half term holidays. Quite stressful before we even start!
