Bansko dates to avoid 2013

Hello All,

Anyone got any heads up on the dates to avoid in Bansko for 2013?? Ie: World cup downhill; Romabian half term etcetc..

Looking the the FIS schedule, can't see mention of Bansko for 2013...

Thx!

Hi

Its normally the week before the 23rd Feb, meaning it's that weekend, so they prepare the week before and finish a week after! Avoid it if you want early starts but rather good otherwise, I get priority lift pass, so no queues, sorry but it's who you no in this case Smile

Looking at the FIS schedule the only events are in Borovets and Pamporovo, nordic and Europa Cup. The dates normally that Bansko would bid have gone to Sochi and Sajanogorsk in Russia, prempting the Olympics i imagine... we could escape this season Very Happy Horray !

@Terry - thanks - I'll be with about 12-15 other blokes so either paying for the Kempinski or just the VIP pass probably isn't going to be an option. Can you buy the pass on it's own somehow?

Thanks Steve.
Any steer on the Romania holidays? Can't find anything about this online but recall from previous years it was around this time.

Ps will be in touch shortly regarding transfers...

Its not that bad.
Ive done peak season UK school hols incl FIS plus first week of April.

DIfference is in April you walk on or at worst the line is to the bottom of the gondela stairs as it starts up but after 8.45 no wait.

If you go peak season we would be there in the line at 8.10-8.15am every day and once managed to be at the enterence door... but usually pretty much the enterence of the Happy End or even the main road. However the gondela opens for the public at 8.30am no sooner ...

However the gondela opens for the public at 8.30am no sooner and in each of these cases not once were we on the mountain later than 9am. The gondela is a good 20mins so really its much worse than it is in reality & you get hacked off waiting but then you realise oh it only opens at 8.30am.

On the slopes peak season there are more bodies on the slopes no question But how there is the 6 man lift which is fast so problem isnt really an issue.
