Hi C&M,
Nightmuffy Im sure will help. I thought I'd just chime in. I was in Bansko for the first time last week. Although Im a fairly advanced snowboarder/skiier, it occurred to me that Bansko is excellent for beginners (up their with andorra, La Plagne and all the dolomites in italy).
Their a shallow very beginners run with a escalator type life, then a long shallow drag lift run and another slightly steeper run to learn on under supervision all within 150 meters of each other. Then when your feeling confident, you can cruise all the way to the bottom of the gondala on a sweet blue run (if not, then you can easily take the gondala back down). Its apparent to myself, a fairly well travelled snowboarder, that a lot of though has gone into the Bansko resort and would highly recommend it to beginners (as well as the advanced nuts ;-)
Thanks Jon.
Good to hear that the resort sounds ideal for our group. We have a mix of very experienced down to relative novice, so sounds like we will all be happy.
Appreciate your comments
Im a novice but find it really good - lots of areas to learn the basics on and then progressively more challenging slopes.
This will be my 4th time and Ive not yet done all the runs still getting used to theblues and trying to nail them confidently. With the odd foray into a red - my wife is more novice than myself so we plod around have some fun.
Not yet tried the ski run down to the gondela but may just try it this time see what its like - I think we have seen a black run part of ...

Not yet tried the ski run down to the gondela but may just try it this time see what its like - I think we have seen a black run part of the ski road on the gondela withoutrealising there is a nice blue run to use which is much less challening.
