Bansko hotels

Ok,so on one of our trips next winter we are definitely going to Bansko. We,ve never been to Bansko so could anyone please help with some advice on which are the good hotels.I would like one central to the nightlfe but if its a choice between the two i would sooner have one next to the ski lift or gondola.I dont know if there are any hotels that would please me on both counts?
Any help and advice from regulars to Bansko would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, Keef

I've never been to bansko but we're staying at the lion in feb. its ment to be close enough to nightlife and the gondola to walk to both, they do run a free bus to the gondola too. We got a really good deal with inghams!

The Kemprinski Grand is the nearest to the gondola. You can ski to the door virtually. A little bit of a walk to the town though. I think the hotel with the best location overall has to be the Strazhite. It is a short walk to the gondola or you can use their bus and is very central for the town. A lot of people also rate the Perun highly which is in between the town and the gondola.

Hope this helps.

I've been to the Perun and the Lion. Both are excellent but I rate the Perun slightly better.

If you can afford it the Kempinski Grand is an obvious choice.

The Strazhite is in a great location but I can't help wondering whether it could be a little noisy?

Depending on your budget go for the Kempinski of the Perun (the outdoor pool at the Perun is to die for!).

Hi Chris,

What's the food like at the Perun, I'm just about to book them for a group, and have heard a couple of bad reports on them (only about the food) Question

Cheers
