Bansko ice rink

just noticed on the sit that there is a mention of an ice rink in bansko - is it new? was it there last year and i missed it? and where is it going to be?

Not heard of an ice rink and the ski area is the same as last year I believe. Any expansion is currently on hold.

There is an ice rink, new for this year

Go Down pirin street towards square, there is a mini market on left, turn left towards the river (glazne bridge) and its on your left

There is a glazed circular area ,by the training slope, which we noticed in April 2005. We thought that might have been it. It was flat round and had the look of a rink.
Unfortunately, the slopes and consequently the rink were emptying toward the end of the season and we never quite found out.

No what you see at the top of the gondola is a reservior for the water cannons, I know it can look like an ice rink but its not

I guess an ice rink in town will get more custom, especially in the evenings and for no skeirs who then don't have to pay to get up the mountain

The ice rink in town, is probably like the ones they put up in uk, we had one in Cardiff it's portable? there for a few weeks then gone, i think it will be similar
