Bansko in summer

Would this place be a good venue for a summer break - apart from skiing - which I know is good - is it busy in the summer ? Any comments welcome - also are there plans afoot to develop easier skiing slopes for the novices ?

We learned to ski in Bansko! Why does everyone say that it's difficult for beginners? We haven't skied anywhere else so have nothing to compare with.

There are quite a lot of walking holidays centred around Bansko and you can also take on some pretty good cycling routes as well. The other thing which appeals mainly to Germans and may find some resistance amongst the English is hunting. You can hunt for pretty much anything once you have the appropriate permits.
