Bansko-less!!!

Just got the new season 2005 brochure from First Choice and Bansko does NOT again feature in the snowsport list of resorts.

It is also absent from the new season brochure's of Inghams and Crystal....

... so yet again it looks like the only operators in the UK to go to Bansko will be Neilson and the major operator of Balkan Holidays.

- but maybe with the amount of investment in Bansko, some €20million, you would hope more UK tour operators would have put it on the resort list (would improve the exposure of Bulgaria also) and help the town recoup the money it as invested better than charging higher prices for those that visit.

....Longing for March the Sixth to come....

re: Bansko-less!!!

Agreed YT, both of the occassions I have been to Bulgaria snowboarding some idiot has always asked me "why"! I can't rave about it enough. Why do we go back? because it is cheap, people are great, tuition is second to done, boarding has something about it without being motorway skiing, and most of all it is not pretentious! If I wanted to spend £10 for a sandwich at lunch time "on piste", I too would go to the French Alps! Rant over, phew!!!

Neil Warnock's Blade eh?

If I say "Peter Jackson's barmy army!!!" - which used to be Neil Warnock's barmy army!!! I am sure you know which team I follow and where I am from and today was very sunny.

All I have ever heard of Bulgaria BL is good points. Yes there have been some negative comments on here, but I know some people who have gone before and are there now and they would not go if it was not 200% good.

I cannot wait to make my own judgement and March 6th cannot come soon.. ...

Liam

Huddersfield here, so not too far away my fellow Tyke

I have booked with Balkan Holidays and they do not do that, but if we had gone with Nielsen my girlfriend and I would have paid the extra £60 (not a great deal really!) for the helicopter transfer.

Time permitting I will try to get a decent report on Bansko on my return to the UK
