Bansko-less Part Two!!

The Thomson Ski new season preview edition brochure came through my letterbox this morning, and Bansko is again missing from the edition.
Bansko - Bulgaria's "best kept secret" appears to be going to be kept a secret from mainstream British travellers again.
Only tour operators Balkan Holidays and Nielson are the UK based operators to be offering holidays to what is to become Bulgaria's number one resort.

So if you want to ski down 'Tomba's-way', get booking soon!!

Great new hotel ...

re: Bansko-less Part Two!!

Interesting!.... What are the ski slopes like as regards condition and levels of difficulty? Also what about local facilities e.g. grub and Booze. We've just about skied out Borovets and given Pamporovo a go so I'd be interested in more info. Have you been to other Bulgarian resorts and if so how would Bansko compare? Maybe we should give this a try.

Alfie

I have never been to Bulgaria before, but analysed alot of literature, this site and other websites before booking for Bansko.

I like the newness look of Bansko with that element of cultralism within the old town, also felt that it would be less crowded and also higher skiing would be more fun.

check out banskoski.com for more great news

re: Bansko-less Part Two!!

Hi,

I'm going to Bansko on the 13th March and don't really know what to expect. Most of the posts are about Boro or Pamp.

It will be our first ever skiing/boarding trip, so we are expectedly quite anxious - does anyone have any info that might be of interest to us? I was reading on the site that there are a lot of local "hot tempered youths" around the hotel Strazhite.... Confused

Anyway, any comments from people who have been would be great.

Cheers
Ryan
