Bansko next yr please help

We have booked for Bansko 9Feb next yr and are taking 8 non skiier friends with us.
We just returned from Pamps 24 Feb and found the ski hire not up to much and the tuition worse (groups of 20 with impatient instructors). We have booked the learn to ski package via Ulen but are now having second thoughts as a) we dont want to be stuck in the gondola queue in the morning but they dont open til 8.30 and b) we dont want our friends to spend theit holiday waiting for the other 19 people in ...

We have booked the learn to ski package via Ulen but are now having second thoughts as a) we dont want to be stuck in the gondola queue in the morning but they dont open til 8.30 and b) we dont want our friends to spend theit holiday waiting for the other 19 people in their group all day. Also safety is a big concern as someone in our group broke a leg largely due to bad ski fitting and a bullying instructor.
Please help - can anyone recommend a good alternative package and will it be expensive??

re: Bansko next yr please help

lots of private ski schools out there.

you need to miss the gondalla queues. 9:15 - 10:15

book private lessons. people have mentioned Method which are an english school. You'll pay a bit more. Most will also sort you out with equipment.

The Ulen ski school is all day for 6 days which is a bit anti social if you go out in a group.

We used method snow school this year at half term and they were excellent. we learnt much more than the people we went with who used Ulen and also we booked lessons from 9.00am so we missed the gondola queue. they also use the Salomon hire shop for equipment so it was good quality stuff.

I'll second that. We used method a couple of weeks ago and the tuition was of a very high standard. Will use them again next year.
